Rhodes Immigration Law Office PLLC ("RILO, "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through https://www.abogadobr.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the rights available to Texas residents under the TDPSA and to all U.S. consumers under other federal laws (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, COPPA, etc.). By accessing the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

We do not collect sensitive data (e.g., social-security numbers, health information) or knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA).

4. Cookies & Tracking
The Site uses first-party cookies and Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns. You may refuse cookies via your browser settings or cookie banner. Doing so may affect site functionality.
5. Marketing Communications
Email (CAN-SPAM) – Each email contains our postal address (see §13) and a one-click Unsubscribe link; opt-out requests are honored within 10 business days.
SMS/Text (TCPA) – Beginning Jan 27 2025, we will send promotional texts only with prior express written consent that is clear, conspicuous, and one-to-one. Text STOP to end or HELP for help; we record and honor opt-outs immediately.
We never sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Third-Party Disclosure
We disclose data only to:
- Service providers (web-hosting, email, analytics) under written contracts that restrict use
- Government authorities when required by law
- Successors in the event of a merger or acquisition (you will be notified)
7. Data Retention
Client-related records are retained for seven (7) years after final matter closure to comply with Texas Disciplinary Rules. Website inquiry data is kept for two (2) years unless you request deletion sooner. Logs older than 24 months are anonymized.
8. Your Privacy Rights (Texas Residents)
Under the TDPSA you may:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data
- Access and obtain a portable copy
- Request correction or deletion
- Opt out of targeted advertising (not presently used)
Submit requests to privacy@abogadobr.com. We will respond within 45 days (may extend once for 45 additional days as permitted).
9. Security
We employ TLS encryption, firewalls, and least-privilege access controls. Nevertheless, no Internet transmission is 100 % secure; you use the Site at your own risk.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy. Material changes will be posted at least 15 days before taking effect, with a banner notice.
11. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable U.S. federal law.
